Easter Pressed Flower Art

Make gorgeous art with pressed flowers

There are so many craft projects you can make with pressed flowers.

Since we’re always looking for ideas to make for Easter gifts, we decided to make these Easter inspired pressed flower pictures that we framed.

Obviously these can be made with any shape in any season and make a gorgeous gift.

We love how they turned out and you can make any shape, but we decided on the Easter Egg and Easter Bunny!

First go foraging for flowers to press.

We always make sure we have a range of colours to use for numerous craft projects. It’s a good idea to press lots and you can keep them for months, ready to pull out for a future craft.

I love pinks, purples and yellows for Easter flowers to press. Press the flowers for at least a week or 2 to be able to use them to make your Easter Art.

If you don’t have a press, check out our Flower Press which is a great pocket/travel size to take with you when you’re out and about.

Make your templates first

I created a template of an egg and bunny from paper before asking Daisy to trace around it onto the card with pencil.

Alternatively you can draw any shape you want to fill freehand! Just do it lightly so you can rub any lines out if you need to. If you sign up and down load our Easter Craft Bundle, you’ll find lots of templates you may like to use.

We use non-toxic kids craft glue for all our kits and projects as it’s safe and washes off like a dream.

Simply paste glue onto your first section of your shape, using a paintbrush.

Lay out all your pressed flowers so you can select the right shapes and colours for your art.

It’s trial and error, so you may have to swap around depending on your flowers you have available to fit in your shape.

There’s no right and wrong way, just have fun layering up the flowers and leaves, adding more glue to place on top of some flowers or leaves if you need to.

It’s actually easier than it looks!

And there you have it, a stunning completed Pressed Flower Art! And a great reason to go out on a walk and collect flowers, along with the excitement of seeing how the flowers come out once pressed. This is a great to do at Easter to inspire a gorgeous afternoon mindfully gluing and crafting and lovely original pressed flower artwork to frame and gift for Easter or hang up at home!

What Grandparent wouldn’t adore receiving one of these?
